How to move in Siena

Our parking area, which has room for ten cars, is located in a quiet area and allows you to reach the city center by bus in just 10 minutes. In fact, it is advisable to visit the historical center of Siena, which is rich of famous monuments and art treasures, on foot, as the old town is mostly restricted traffic area.
From the railway station you can reach us on foot in 20 minutes or by bus which runs every 30 minutes and stops about 150 meters from our B & B. For visiting the enchanting surroundings of Siena as, for example, the area of Chianti, San Gimignano, Volterra or the Val d'Orcia, and Bagno Vignoni, you should use the car, instead.
For those guests of the “B&B Gli Archi “ who want to go on a trip to Florence we recommend using the bus that leaves every hour from Siena and which runs until late in the evening. This avoids having to pay for parking the car in the city as well as the risk of getting stuck in the heavy traffic. After the check-in (opening hours of the reception from 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm) each guest will have her / his own key in order to be able to move in complete independence.


Booking conditions and cancellation policy

  • Polity of cancellation: A credit card is required to secure your reservation at B&B Gli Archi .There will be not cancellation 5 days before your date of arrival. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, the 100% of your reservation will be charged of your credit card.
  • Credit card accepted: Visa, Mastecard, Carta Si
  • Check-in: from 3 PM to 6:30 PM.
  • Check-out: before 10 AM.

Legend says that Siena was founded by Senio and Ascanio, sons of Remus, of the famous duo Romulus and Remus who founded Rome. Statues of the wolf feeding the twins are spotted throughout Siena, but without historical foundation! Instead, the Romans established a military outpost in 30AD called Siena, and it developed into a busy little trading post in the following years.
